Emma's First Christmas

Santa had three stockings to fill this Christmas! And the three Sullivans had a wonderful, quiet Christmas morning together. After brunch at the Polks' house, Nana & Papa John arrived. We had dinner at the Fedotas' to end a wonderful day.

Santa brought Emma three gifts -- because the Wise Men brought Jesus three gifts.

Emma got Daddy a fun kid's book about football written by Tiki and Ronde Barber. Both are looking forward to Emma getting big enough for him to read it to her!

Nana brought lots of fun gifts to her Emma Frances, including a book that holds pictures of Nana & Papa John and this "pink princess" outfit that Daddy thinks is very frou-frou!

Family Christmas Eve Service

We were honored to be asked to play Mary, Joseph & Baby Jesus in the Christmas Eve service. Emma filled her role perfectly, watching all the friendly beasts, angels, and shepherds with wide eyes, then falling asleep as if on cue during Away in a Manger.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, Cousin Chas came to visit and exchange gifts. He brought along Aunt Teri, Uncle Charlie, and Charlie's mom ("MoMo" to Cousin Chas).

Emma's Baptism

What an incredibly special day for Emma and for her proud parents who were so touched by our wonderful family's and church family's love and support of her. We are blessed to have everyone, especially her Godparents -- Dawn Haynie & Chad Polk, in our lives. Special thanks to Reverend Bob for baptizing Emma. We know she will be raised knowing God's love!

Rev. Bob Winstead with our family.

Emma wore her Great Aunt Marjie's baptismal gown from 1957. We're pretty sure it was made by her great, great grandmother -- Lucy Guilford.

Emma's Godparents and their boys, Ethan and Nate Polk. Nate is our Godson.

After the service, we had a wonderful lunch at Aunt Sarah & Uncle Gary's (the Fedotas) house. Aunt Marjie & Uncle Bob prepared a delicious meal and Aunt Dawn decorated everything beautifully!
