In Chapel Hill, N.C. for Patrick's first-ever game at the Dean Dome (aka The Dean E. Smith Center). . . Dinner at the Ram's Head Rathskeller before the game . . . A place that Shannon has frequented many times during her UNC days. This place had to have the "cheesiest" lasagna that I have EVER tasted. Pretty much a bowl of cheese with the random noodle and meat/sauce mixed in somewhere. Felt like we needed to roll out of there afterwards. Ooof.

Pregame at the Dean Dome. We were sitting in the upper deck on one corner of the arena, but the seats were still pretty good. Considering that the mucky-mucks have all the season tix, we were lucky to get seats for a game over the holidays. Pretty darn cool place with all the of the retired jerseys and national and conference title banners hanging around everywhere. Makes you wonder how some of the current players aren't wearing triple-digit unis?

End of the game at the Dean Dome. Final Score: UNC 96, UNC-Wilmington 75. A pretty thorough mashing throughout the entire night, it seemed like the entire roster got some PT, with the starters (May, Felton, McCants, Jawad Williams and Marvin Williams) all getting some nice shots and work before the real grind of the ACC gets underway.

Early Christmas Weekend in Hendersonville, N.C.

A few of us went up to our family's place in the mountains of Hendersonville, NC for the weekend before Christmas to celebrate a little early. Little did we know that it would start to snow on Sunday morning! What a great surprise with really big fat flakes! What a great start to the Christmas week!
