Honestly, despite the look on her face, Emma does seem to enjoy the Papasan chair. We think she looks like a little burrito while swaddled up tight like this. :-)

Time to take Emma out for her first walk around the neighborhood. We had gotten out of the house earlier on Friday to take Emma for her first pediatrician appointment, but it was a very nice night out so we decided to try out the carseat/stroller combo.

After the first night . . . very crazy, sort of surreal. Emma was brought in every 2 hours or so for nursing, so sleep was pretty impossible. Here, the next morning, we are changing our first diaper on Emma. Hands and feet everywhere . . .

Picture of the "LoJack" devices on both Shannon and Emma. Pretty scary to think about the security that hospitals now have in place to make sure the right babies are shuttled back and forth between the right mothers. These two devices would play a little chime once Shannon and Emma got in close proximity to one another in the room.

Emma Frances Sullivan, our new little girl!

Emma Frances Sullivan has arrived! We are so happy that she is healthy and well. Shannon had a good delivery, and her Mom (Fran) and I were in the delivery room with her. Shannon felt the first steps come in the middle of the night, and we went to the doctor on Monday morning. They told us that she was not very far along, but we should go to the hospital and get the ball rolling!
